About FD
Fabricated Designs was founded in late 2021 to provide a solution for sourcing completed parts and assemblies based on conceptual ideas. The primary function of Fabricated Designs is to provide CAD design services for complex projects. Once CAD design is complete design documentation can be developed to assure that final products fully conform to initial product concept.

The benefit of CAD design is cost savings. Complex assemblies and prototypes are expensive. Using CAD design tools product functions, interfaces and assembly tolerances can be reviewed to prevent multiple prototype iterations from being created.

For the inventor who has an idea; CAD design can help them procure funding by creation of a 3D model or physical working prototype. All ideas need a prototype to express the final product, and not all prototypes can be created using non-commercial manufacturing methods. The CAD designed product package will include technical drawings used for commercial manufacturing processes to include: Molding, Machining, Joining, and forming of materials in accordance with the specifications outlined in technical drawings.

Fabricated Designs provides engineering services for 3D cad design and mechanical drawings from 1 piece part to entire electromechanical assemblies.
Our Founder, Dustin
Dustin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. In addition to Dustin’s engineering degree, he boasts over a decade of machining experience. Dustin uses his skills and experience to go from a conceptual prototype or a “napkin design” to a complete product capable of being manufactured anywhere in the world. To accomplish the task of going from concept to final product, Dustin relies on an understanding of manufacturing technologies and material properties. Dustin’s focus on product design assures that product functional requirements meet initial concept specifications.
